Overnight Fish Fork Hike

Posted: Jul 8, 2011 3:02pm

I want to set up a little camping trip just for fun, maybe hike somewhere remote... I was thinking get a small group together and start at Guffy Campground (unless Lupine is open now), then hike down into Fish Fork, spend the night, and come back the next day or something. I've been back to Fish Fork a couple of times, but I've never really done any serious exploring back there.

Anyone interested?

The road to Lupine did open a couple weeks ago, however the storm on Wednesday 7/6 caused the road to wash out at the bottom, 1/4 mile before Lupine CG, so it's not passable at the moment beyond that point. Not sure when it's going to be cleared.

The road to Lupine was cleared a few days ago. It's open to Lupine again. An amazing amount of dirt/debris came down with that storm!

no Problem. I'll send you a few picts of the damage..

I might be up for a hike down there, but I'm pretty tied up on my days off the next few weeks.
