Table Mountain Nature Trail Description
The Table Mountain Nature Trail is located west of the town of Wrightwood, at the top of Table Mountain, near the campground entrance. The trail starts off pretty clearly with informational markings for the nature hike and well maintained. As the trail continues along the side of Table Mountain it offers views of the slopes of Mountain High's West Resort. The trail quickly gets confusing and loses its direction, becoming hard to follow. Like the Big Pines Nature Trail, this isn't the most exciting hike in the area, however it's a nice walk through the forest after a picnic at the Table Mountain Picnic Area.
Directions to Table Mountain Nature Trail from Wrightwood
From Wrightwood, take Hwy 2 westbound to Big Pines. Just past the Big Pines Visitor Center, take a right onto Table Mountain Road. Follow the road approximately 1 mile, where you will find the entrance to Table Mountain Campground. The trail head is on the left, just after you pass the entrance gate to the campground.
Don't forget to display a National Forest Adventure Pass in the windshield of your vehicle.
